                        Casita Jíbara  is a traditional Puerto Rican rural dwelling that embodies the island’s cultural heritage, resilience, and connection to nature.  Rooted in  Taino Indigenous  and  African  building practices, the casita jíbara evolved from the  bohío —a simple, thatched-roof structure made from natural, locally available materials.
